1. Scope Cloud and these Terms
Scope Cloud is the service name for the connected online platform available at https://scope.cloud. The operator identified in an applicable order form, enterprise agreement or account communication provides the service. Legal notices may be sent to legal@scope.cloud.
These Terms apply with the Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and, for paid access, the Subscription Terms, Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy. If an individually signed enterprise agreement conflicts with these Terms, that agreement takes priority for the services it covers.
2. Eligibility, students and under-18s
You must be legally able to enter this agreement. A person under 18 may use an authorised student or educational account only with the involvement and permission of a parent, guardian, school, university or other responsible organisation. A person under 18 must not purchase a subscription in their own name.
Scope Cloud is not directed to children under 13. An organisation providing accounts to students is responsible for authority, safeguarding, notices and consents required for that use.
3. Registration and account security
You must provide accurate information, keep it current, protect credentials and verification codes, and promptly report suspected compromise. Accounts are personal unless the product expressly supports a shared workspace; credentials must not be shared.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account where caused by your failure to take reasonable security steps. Scope Cloud may require identity, email or account verification and may reset credentials or restrict access to protect users and the service.
4. Workspaces, teams, owners and administrators
A workspace may have an owner, administrators and members with different permissions. The owner controls the workspace subscription and is responsible for appointing administrators. Administrators may invite or remove members, allocate seats, manage permissions and access workspace information to the extent the product allows.
If you join an organisation's workspace, that organisation may control your workspace profile and content, and may retain, export or delete it. Disputes about internal authority are primarily between the organisation and its users, although Scope Cloud may pause disputed changes while ownership is verified.
5. User permissions and responsibilities
You must use only permissions granted to you, follow workspace policies and ensure collaborators have authority to access shared information. Workspace owners must review access when roles change or people leave.
You remain responsible for project decisions, approvals, submissions, instructions and communications made through or using information from Scope Cloud.
6. Products and services
Scope Cloud connects project, design, compliance, specification, visualisation, delivery, learning, career and practice-management workflows. Features and entitlements depend on the selected plan and product availability shown in the account and on the Plans page.
Descriptions, demonstrations and previews explain intended capability; they are not a promise that every feature is available in every plan, country, device or release.
7. Beta, preview and coming-soon products
A feature marked beta, preview, early access, experimental or coming soon may be incomplete, changed, suspended or withdrawn. Preview data should not be the only copy of important project information.
Scope Cloud will not charge for a feature described only as coming soon unless the purchase information clearly identifies what is presently included. Reasonable feedback about testing features may be used to improve the service.
8. AI outputs and limitations
Scope AI and AI-assisted features may generate text, analysis, classifications, suggestions, calculations, images or other output from prompts and connected context. Outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, unsuitable or similar to material generated for others.
You must review outputs, source material and assumptions before use. AI output is not legal, regulatory, architectural, engineering, planning, building-control, fire-safety, financial, tax, employment or other professional advice and must not replace a suitably qualified professional.
9. Professional judgement
Scope Cloud supports professional work but does not become the architect, designer, consultant, contractor, principal designer, accountant or other dutyholder. You remain responsible for competence, appointments, insurance, checking, approvals, records and compliance obligations.
Do not use an automated result as the sole basis for a decision that could materially affect safety, legal rights, employment, credit, access to a service or another person.
10. Scope Comply
Scope Comply may organise requirements, evidence and regulatory information. Laws, standards, guidance and project facts change, and generated summaries may omit context. Always verify the current official source, applicable jurisdiction, project classification and professional interpretation.
Use of Scope Comply does not establish compliance, secure approval or transfer any statutory or contractual duty to Scope Cloud.
11. Scope Studio calculations and forecasts
Fee, rate, programme, utilisation, profitability and forecast tools depend on user inputs and assumptions. Results are indicative and may not account for tax, inflation, scope change, contractual risk, local practice, cash flow or professional advice.
You must validate calculations and commercial decisions against your records and obtain accounting, tax, legal or financial advice where appropriate.
12. User content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content and intellectual-property rights you upload, create or control. You must have the rights, permissions and lawful basis needed to upload and share it, including confidential, personal and third-party material.
You grant the Scope Cloud operator and its processors a non-exclusive, worldwide, limited licence to host, copy, transmit, index, transform and display content only as needed to provide, secure, support and improve the service, follow your instructions, and meet legal obligations. This licence ends when content is deleted, subject to backups, legal retention and material shared with others.
13. Feedback
If you submit product feedback, you permit Scope Cloud to use it without restriction or payment to improve and develop the service. This does not transfer ownership of your project content or confidential information included unintentionally.
14. File storage and data availability
Storage limits, file types and retention depend on plan and product capability. You should maintain independent copies of information required for legal, contractual, regulatory or business continuity purposes.
Scope Cloud may use reasonable technical limits and remove malicious, unlawful or unsupported files. Export capability depends on the relevant product; users should complete available exports before workspace closure or access expiry.
15. Prohibited conduct and acceptable use
You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. Prohibited activity includes unlawful use, infringement, malware, unauthorised access, scraping, credential sharing, bypassing plan limits, disruptive automation, harmful AI use and uploading confidential information without authority.
Reasonable technical controls may be applied to protect users, capacity and security.
16. Third-party services and integrations
Scope Cloud uses Base44 for application infrastructure and authentication and Resend for transactional email. Google sign-in is optional. Paid checkout may use Stripe or another payment provider identified before purchase; no payment card details should be entered unless an approved checkout is presented.
Integrations may be subject to separate provider terms and privacy notices. Scope Cloud is not responsible for a third party's independent service, but remains responsible for its own obligations when selecting and instructing processors.
17. Product availability and changes
Scope Cloud may maintain, update, replace or discontinue features. Planned maintenance and material changes affecting paid service will be communicated reasonably where practicable.
No service can be guaranteed uninterrupted or error-free. Any service level commitment applies only if stated in an enterprise agreement or order form.
18. Plans, trials, payment and renewal
Current public plan names and allowances are shown in the validated plan list. Paid subscriptions, trials, renewals, seats, AI credits, plan changes and payment handling are governed by the Subscription Terms and information displayed before purchase.
A paid order is not accepted until the contracting operator, price, billing interval, taxes, renewal terms and payment method are displayed and the order is confirmed. Consumers retain mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
19. Suspension and termination
Scope Cloud may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate security risk, non-payment, unlawful activity, serious misuse or material breach. Where appropriate, notice and an opportunity to remedy will be provided.
You may stop using free access at any time and may cancel paid access under the Cancellation Policy. Termination does not remove accrued payment obligations or terms intended to survive, including confidentiality, ownership and liability provisions.
20. Data export and deletion
Account holders may request available exports and account deletion through account controls or support. Workspace administrators may control organisational exports and deletion. Scope Cloud may need to verify authority before acting.
Deletion may not be immediate from backups and does not apply where retention is required for legal claims, fraud prevention, accounting or another lawful purpose. Privacy requests are handled under the Privacy Policy.
21. Confidentiality
Each party must protect non-public information received in connection with the service, use it only for the relevant purpose and disclose it only to people who need it and are bound to protect it. This does not apply to information already lawfully known, public without breach, independently developed or required to be disclosed by law.
22. Warranties and statutory rights
Scope Cloud will provide paid services with reasonable care and skill. Except for rights and promises that cannot legally be excluded, the service and previews are provided without implied promises of fitness for a particular professional outcome, uninterrupted availability or error-free AI output.
Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
23. Liability
For consumers, Scope Cloud is responsible for foreseeable loss caused by breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill, but not business losses arising from consumer use. Consumer remedies remain subject to applicable law.
For business customers, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, anticipated savings, goodwill or corrupted data, except where such exclusion is unlawful. Any financial cap must be stated in the applicable paid order or enterprise agreement; no cap applies to liability that cannot legally be limited.
24. Business-customer responsibility for claims
A business customer will be responsible for reasonable losses and third-party claims caused by its unlawful content, infringement or deliberate misuse, to the extent the customer was at fault. Scope Cloud must give prompt notice, reasonable cooperation and control of the defence, and the customer need not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by Scope Cloud without consent.
25. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers may also benefit from mandatory protections and bring proceedings in the courts available under consumer law where they live. Business disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales unless an enterprise agreement states otherwise.
Please contact legal@scope.cloud first so the parties can try to resolve a concern.
26. Changes to these Terms
Changes may be made for law, security, product development or business operations. Material changes affecting existing paid subscriptions will be notified reasonably before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only where lawful; consumers will receive any choice required by law.
